Submission dates

Registration forms need to be received at The Learning Connexion by:

  • Main / Weekend / Evening / Block 1 classes: beginning of Week 9 for the following term's classes.
  • Block 2: beginning of Week 3 for the current term's classes.

Registration

All enrolled and casual (non-enrolled) students need to register for all on-site classes. Casual students may register for any on-site classes - see the Registration » Casual students page for costs.

Please ensure the following when completing your registration form:

  • Write your name clearly.
  • For Mains and Block classes: make three selections ranked according to preference. Failure to provide other choices may result in non-registration in a class.
  • Enrolled students: ensure you state your major.

Ballots

If the number of registrations exceeds the number of places, a ballot will be held. Priority will be given to those majoring in the subject area. Please ensure you state your major.

There will be second and third ballots for second and third preferences if required. Anyone who has the misfortune of missing all three preferences will be contacted by staff to discuss further options.

Waiting lists

A waiting list will be created for each over-subscribed class. At the start of a class, students on the waiting list will be offered any vacancy where a registered student does not show.

Confirming your place

If you can attend the class...
Please confirm this with Programme Support one week before the class is due to start. Email ps@tlc.ac.nz with your confirmation.

If you can't attend the class...
Again, please let Programme Support know as soon as possible - ps@tlc.ac.nz.
