The Materials team

Meet the team behind the Materials Shop at The Learning Connexion.

- Hayden Ward
- Hayden has been involved with the Materials Shop for over 5 years. Hayden is TLC's resident heavy metal, skateboarding and football enthusiast and is happy to provide support to students who require consultancy in these areas. Hayden is the proud father of 2 girls, Magenta (aged 3) and new arrival Imogen.

- Nic Phillipson
- Nic is the newest member of the Materials team. He studied Fine Arts at the University of Canterbury and has spent the previous 2 years in Christchurch as a professional artist. Nic originally focused on landscape painting but now concentrates on pop-art as his preferred genre.

- Nate McLachlan
- Nate is our resident storeman who controls our stock. As part of his role, Nate is responsible for preparing the starter kits that Foundation students receive. Nate is a former TLC student and continues his art practice of pastel works with political themes. Nate is also a keen hockey player although this season has seen him involved as a referee.
