Description:
Drypoint is a very direct method of printmaking which can lend itself to expressive, gestural lines or to grunty, laboured ones. Come and explore it's mark-making potential! We will learn the basics of the technique and then you will have the opportunity to create your plates directly from the model. Suitable for all levels. Note: this is not an instructional figure drawing class.

* Half-day with a model
* Time to ink and print
* Discussion of end results
Objectives:
* To learn the techniques involved with creating a drypoint print
* To explore various types of mark-making
* To create plates in a figure drawing context
* To let go and have fun!
Outcomes:
* Skills in drypoint printmaking
* An understanding of the mark-making potential of drypoint.
* A series of works relating to the figure
Required materials
Cost to student:
$30 for inks, supplies and plates
