Classes begin the end of Week 1 and finish the end of Week 8 of term.

Plastic Fantastic

Description:
Two days of absolutely funky, fun, fantastic body adornment making.
Carve (gems) from Perspex, use (gems) from the beach, give old (plastic ware) new glamour. Bring the shiny items the magpie in you finds appealing. Bring those bits you just have lying around waiting to be put into a fabulously, fantastic, free, fun piece of body adornment.
We'll use wire and sheet copper, brass, silver, rubber, thread, silk, flax or whatever you can imagine to bind it all together. Suitable for all levels.

* Idea gathering
* Design
* Sawing, filing, sanding, polishing, binding to a high standard
* Assembling
* Discussion/ feed back on finished works

Objectives:
* Fun making funky Jewellery
* Choose items for their wearability
* Solutions for design and implementation

Fun, funky Jewellery

Required materials

paper, pencil, ruler, small paint brush,
dust mask
safety goggles
jewellery tools
anything you can think of that will be useful

Cost to student:
Dependent on what you already have.
