Distance delivery students

Full-time DD students can attend up to five on-site sessions per week, equivalent to 2.5 days / 15 hours.

Part-time DD students can attend up to three on-site sessions per week, equivalent to 1.5 days / 9 hours.

Description
The funky, free flowing Fridays are about letting go and finding yourself in unexpected places and spaces, while capturing a wide range of subject media. We will explore expressing what you feel, as well as what you see. We also focus a lot on the surrealism movement and look at how these artists created original ground breaking artworks.

NB: experimental music is part of this class.

Objectives:
* Try different approaches
* Try different drawing tools
* Explore the effects of line, texture, light source, perspective and colour
* Have fun! Push boundaries!

Outcomes:
You will have a wider sense of how to approach your drawings.

Required materials

pencils (2b or 6b or black beauty pencil)
charcoal (pitt and / or willow)
oil pastels and / or soft pastels
crayons (black and white)
indian ink
a selection of different paper (brown paper provided)
bring a selection of the materials above which you would like to work with

Cost to student
Fuel costs for field trips (kept to a minimum). Material costs dependent on what you will need to buy from the list above.
