Description
Express the world around you with a medium that is fun and user friendly. Dry Media can be used to expand your drawing skills or be developed as a finished medium that can be framed or glazed. During the term we will explore ways to create pattern and line as well as deepen our understanding of colour and how lighting and tone can create depth and dimension.
In the mornings we work with a range of techniques to get an understanding of the media. In the afternoons you will have the chance to create a series on your chosen theme.
Content:
* Exercises on techniques
* Working from a life model
* Working with still life
* Working on a series
* Exploration of surfaces
Objectives:
To discover techniques with both charcoal and pastel. To explore different surfaces to work on. Learn how to fix and / or seal your work. Create a series of pastel and / or charcoal works.
