Description
What is printmaking? In this class you will find out! You will have the opportunity to explore the techniques of drypoint, monotype and stencil screenprinting. There will be lots of time for experimentation and development of ideas. See what happens!

Content:
* Introduction to monotype
* Introduction to drypoint
* Introduction to stencil screen printing

Objectives:
* To explore, solve problems and gain ideas through the medium of printmaking
* To learn and develop your understanding of printmaking processes and how to use them

Outcomes:
* Skills in various printmaking techniques
* Introduction to monotype
* Introduction to drypoint
* Introduction to stencil screen printing

Required materials

  • supplies needed depend on your project for day 1:
  • visual diary
  • images for drypoint
  • drypoint tool
  • pvc plastic sheets
  • 1 sheet of tablex paper
  • $15 materials fee for inks and other collective supplies

Cost to student
$15 materials fee covers many supplies but not nice paper.
