Full-time DD students can attend up to five on-site sessions per week, equivalent to 2.5 days / 15 hours.

Description
Now that you have a couple of techniques under your belt, it's time to push the boundaries of your printmaking through experimentation and refinement.
In this class you will hone your creative process, develop new skills and delve deeper into your personal aesthetic in print. All print techniques are welcome.
The goal is to complete a finished body of prints to a professional standard. Note: We'll have one afternoon with a model.

Content:
* Continuation of techniques in printmaking
* Day one, the class will create a schedule and decide on techniques to be demonstrated each week
* Assistance with other independent print techniques.
* Individual consultation regarding goals and projects in print

Objectives:
* To further your understanding of printmaking processes and how to use them
* To plan and execute a series of prints which have a professional look to them
* To extend your preferred techniques in printmaking, solve problems and gain ideas through working with other experienced printmakers

Outcomes:
* The ability to make work to a high professional standard
* A cohesive body of prints in an individually chosen format that can be presented to the group
* Skills in various printmaking techniques

Required materials

    supplies needed depend on individual projects chosen. for day 1-
  • visual diary
  • images for drypoint
  • drypoint tool
  • pvc plastic sheets
  • 1 sheet of tablex paper
  • $15 materials fee for inks and other collective supplies - see above
  • budget money for good quality paper for printing, it is worth it!

Cost to student
15 for inks, solvents etc.
