Description
This class will help you to advance your technical and conceptual skills in 2D media. We will explore such topics as colour, content and composition, developing your ability to think and work creatively through some set exercises, with the emphasis on self directed briefs. You will create a series of works based on a theme to further expand existing skills and experiment with new and effective ways of expressing your ideas in 2D. The class will be best suited to students with more advanced skills.
Content:
Develop a series of works based on your choice of subject and media, advancing both technical and conceptual skills and knowledge of painting and drawing.
Objectives:
* Explore a variety of painting/drawing techniques
* Explore paint
* Develop painting techniques and skills
* Explore content
* Experiment with colour
* Experiment with composition
* Choose appropriate drawing supports

Outcomes:
You will have created a series of related works based on a theme of your choice and explored ideas and techniques which will expand confidence, skills and knowledge of working with wet media.
