Class times

All block classes run from 9.30am - 4.30pm.

Block 1 runs during Week 1 of term, Block 2 runs during Week 9 of term.

Registration for Block 2 must be received by 5pm Monday 9th August.

Class lists will be finalized on Friday 13th August, you will be notified.

Putting It All Together

Description:
This week is about getting your hands on lots (and lots) of diverse materials, objects, forms, colours and putting them all, or some of them, together creatively! So turn up with your hands full of whatever it is you would like to work with, a head full of idea's and possibilities and we will all get to work doing some creative ... assemblage ... art !!! Suitable for all levels.

Content:
* To give a basic introduction to assemblage art using examples and discussion
*To have a week of fun and games creating one or more simple projects utilising found objects and materials
* Studio practice and safety issues will also be addressed

Objectives:
For each of you to develop a brief while exploring the possibilities that occur in response to your material resources and the working process.

Outcomes:
You will have the experience of working with a diverse group creating highly individual pieces of work from just about anything. You will learn new ways of constructing, and methods of fixing when assembling your pieces.

Required materials

you will need to provide whatever materials are needed for your work. i would encourage everyone to bring in lots of stuff on day one to create a resource that can be traded or shared.

Cost to student:
As per project.
