Block 1 runs during Week 1 of term, Block 2 runs during Week 9 of term.

Description:
This is the second part for those who completed Part One but also welcomes those interested in this subject who may not have done the first block class.
'Everything you wanted to know about Paint' looks at the different types of paint available, how and when to use them and what combinations work. We also look at how paint can be applied to achieve the different textures. This class is suitable for beginners to advanced.
Content:
* Video
* Slide shows
* Practical demonstrations
* Class structure will consist of a lecture from 9.30 till 11.00, allowing practice the rest of the day
* One day will consist of a day visit to Te Papa
* Friday is for rounding up and assessment
Objectives:
* To achieve an overview of the different types of
paint the artist can use
* Paint textures and how to develop them
* Brush types
* Brush strokes
Outcomes:
* If you are a beginner - a grounding in acrylic paint
* If an intermediate - an overview of acrylic, oil and resin based paints
* If advanced - mixing the media to achieve art styles and combinations unique to your own art practice
